Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Bomporto di Sorbara (Modena), Italy – Daimler Buses has begun construction of a new service center in the Rome metropolitan area. The facility in Fiano Romano, located about 40 kilometers north of Rome, is scheduled to take over maintenance and service work for Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses starting in early 2027. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in mid‑March with representatives from politics and business in attendance. The new site will replace the previous service center in Monterotondo, located further to the south.
The new building is being constructed on an area of around 11,500 square meters, including approximately 3,000 square meters of covered workshop space. Plans include 25 bus parking spaces and four workstations for high‑voltage vehicles. With this investment, Daimler Buses aims to further strengthen the service network in the region.
