The General Works Council (GWC) is the overarching representative body for the employees of Daimler Truck AG. The GWC consists of 13 members: The plants and the Stuttgart facility each appoint two representatives from their local works councils. In addition, there are two representatives from the Own Retail works council and one representative from the joint works council of Mercedes-Benz Sales Germany Truck & Parts Center. The GWC concludes company-wide agreements with the company that address issues affecting multiple locations. The GWC chairman is Michael Brecht; his deputy is Thomas Zwick.
