Mercedes-Benz Trucks expands its e-truck portfolio with new eActros Lowliner variant

Mercedes-Benz Trucks is introducing another variant to its eActros portfolio: the Mercedes-Benz eActros Lowliner, available with either two or three battery packs, expands the manufacturer’s electric truck lineup with a solution designed specifically for high volume transport. With the Lowliner, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is directly addressing the growing demand for locally CO₂e free transport options in the volume intensive long haul logistics segment.

Mercedes-Benz Trucks at INTERSCHUTZ 2026: Robust Vehicle Solutions from Arocs to Zetros

Against the backdrop of global crises, increasing extreme weather events, and growing demands on emergency services, INTERSCHUTZ in Hannover will open its doors on June 1, 2026. At the leading international trade fair for fire and rescue services, civil protection, and security, Mercedes-Benz Trucks will present a broad portfolio of mission-specific vehicle solutions.

Test vehicle Setra S 515 LE for the “Bus Euro Test 2026” in Hungary: Setra MultiClass S 515 LE hybrid – impressive across the board

The 12,210 mm-long test vehicle provided in Adriatic blue has a 6-cylinder OM 936 in-line engine producing 260 kW (354 hp) and a maximum torque of 1400 Nm at 1200 rpm. The intercity bus is equipped with a ZF Ecolife 2 6-speed automatic transmission with torque converter.

Mercedes‑Benz Trucks has secured a major order from Lithuanian logistics and transport company TRANSTIRA. The manufacturer will deliver more than 500 Actros L ProCabin trucks to the customer, headquartered in Vilnius, during 2026.

Strong fleet for demanding missions: major Unimog order for THW

The German Federal Agency for Technical Relief (THW) is receiving 66 new highly off-road-capable emergency response vehicles based on the Unimog U 5025 for civil protection purposes. One of the key features is a more powerful engine with 21 hp more compared to the previous series production vehicle. The Unimog base vehicle is manufactured in Wörth am Rhein, while the bodies are built by F&B Nutzfahrzeug-Technik GmbH in nearby Hagenbach in the Palatinate region.
