Groundbreaking in Rome: Daimler Buses builds new service center

Daimler Buses has begun construction of a new service center in the Rome metropolitan area. The facility in Fiano Romano, located about 40 kilometers north of Rome, is scheduled to take over maintenance and service work for Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses starting in early 2027.

Daimler Truck Supervisory Board appoints Yvonne Bettkober to the Board of Management – Jürgen Hartwig leaves the company after more than 30 years

The Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG has appointed Yvonne Bettkober as a new Member of the Board of Management, effective October 1, 2026. She will assume responsibility for Human Resources across the Daimler Truck Group and as Labor Director. Her initial term extends until September 30, 2029. Bettkober joins the company from Audi AG, where she most recently served as Chief Transformation Officer.

At Bus2Bus 2026 from April 15–16 in Berlin, Daimler Buses will showcase comprehensive and sustainable electric mobility solutions for city and intercity buses, along with a current touring coach model.

The Mercedes‑Benz eCitaro fuel cell with a fuel cell as a range extender is designed for very long ranges of around 600 kilometers . It combines the Citaro platform, proven tens of thousands of times, with a modular battery, charging, and drive technology, an intelligently managed energy mix, a design that is both functional and attractive, and an unmatched level of safety.
