Daimler Truck continued its long-standing joint commitment of employees and company management in 2025 with “ProCent” under the motto “Small Contribution – Big Impact.” Together, they donated around €275,000 to charitable organizations and initiatives in various countries to provide tangible support and take social responsibility.

A total of 51 projects worldwide received funding amounts ranging from €270 to more than €35,000 – including educational programs for disadvantaged children and young people, sustainable environmental projects, and support for people in emergency situations.
“ProCent” originated from an idea by the General Works Council: employees voluntarily waive the cent amounts of their monthly net salary; these amounts are collected, totaled and then doubled by the company.

Social Engagement Through Daimler Truck ProCent: Three Examples

Hockenheim: St. Maria Kindergarten
Daimler Truck ProCent supported the St. Maria Kindergarten in Hockenheim, Germany by providing a fleet of children’s vehicles. These vehicles serve as play and learning tools to specifically promote young children’s motor skills and offer additional opportunities for outdoor physical activity.

Kenya: School Bus for Around 400 Children
The organization Future for Kids – Kenya e.V. received a school bus in Kenya through funding from Daimler Truck ProCent. The vehicle provides reliable transportation for around 400 schoolchildren, making an important contribution to access to education.

Kernen im Remstal: GPS Trackers for Rescue Dogs
Daimler Truck ProCent supported the local German Red Cross association in Kernen im Remstal, Germany by equipping its rescue dog unit with modern GPS trackers. These devices allow precise tracking of the dogs during search operations, increasing both efficiency and safety in locating missing persons.

About Daimler Truck ProCent

The funding initiative “ProCent” originated from an idea by the General Works Council and is supported and promoted by company management. Decisions on the allocation of funds and the selection of supported projects are made by joint committees at the respective locations, composed equally of representatives from the Works Council and management. Proposals for eligible projects are submitted by employees at the German sites.
