In addition to battery-electric drive technology, Daimler Truck is also relying on hydrogen to enable locally CO₂e‑free transport in the future. Hydrogen powered trucks, especially those using fuel cell technology, offer several advantages in terms of range, refueling time, payload and flexibility. In addition, hydrogen refueling stations require less space than truck charging parks, and we expect that sustainably produced green hydrogen in sun‑rich regions will become economically attractive in the future.
