With more than 600 locations, Omniplus offers the densest service network for buses in Europe. The locations are classified into the performance categories BusWorld, BusPort, and BusPoint. The highest service level is provided by BusWorld locations, including the 36 Daimler Buses Service Centers. These sites offer maximum parts availability, participation in the Omniplus 24h Service, special tools for bus‑specific repairs, and extended opening hours. Highly trained and certified employees provide top‑level expertise for service and repairs on buses and all their components.

To continue meeting growing market demands, Daimler Buses is consistently investing in the expansion of its European service network — especially in additional eBus service centers. The current 35 own service centers will be joined by more in the coming years. For example, a new service center is planned in Rome for 2026, with additional locations in countries such as the Netherlands and Austria under consideration.

Omniplus 24h Service — available 365 days a year

If a bus should break down on the road, the Omniplus 24h Service is available around the clock in combination with the Omniplus ServiceCard. Customers can reach the service free of charge across Europe at 00800 40 20 40 20. Drivers simply contact the 24h Service in their local language, where specially trained staff at the international call center notify the nearest service location. To continuously improve the quality of the 24h Service, Daimler Buses closely monitors assignment times and outcomes. The results speak for themselves: in nearly all cases, buses can continue their journey after the 24h Service intervention. In the rare cases where a larger repair is required, the 24h Service also assists in arranging a replacement vehicle.

ServiceContracts tailored to every need

Omniplus ServiceContracts ensure professional service at predictable costs. Contract scope can be assembled individually according to operational needs. For diesel buses, contract models include Basic, BasicPlus, Premium Regional, Premium, and the mileage‑based variants Premium Dynamic and Premium Regional Dynamic — with either fixed or usage‑based costs. For electric buses, Omniplus offers dedicated eServiceContracts — eBasic and ePremium — which expand maintenance coverage with various repair modules. Operators can enhance these contracts with optional packages, ensuring professional, cost‑efficient service for their eBuses from day one — tailored to the special requirements of high‑voltage technology and electromobility. More than 9,000 active ServiceContracts show that an increasing number of bus operators value predictable, calculable service.

Omniplus spare parts logistics center — more than 350,000 spare parts

The Daimler Buses spare parts logistics center — the world’s largest central warehouse for bus spare parts — stocks more than 130,000 items. Over 600 Omniplus service locations are supplied with genuine parts for Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses. On an area of roughly 32,000 square meters, more than 130,000 tested parts are kept in stock, while the number of active items has grown from around 250,000 in 2012 to over 350,000 today.

The core of the site is the logistics building with goods receiving, multiple storage areas, and shipping. Every day, around 50 trucks deliver incoming parts. Approximately 220 employees — mostly in two shifts — ensure that more than 6,800 different items are shipped worldwide each day on schedule. With Europe‑wide 24‑hour shipping, online connectivity to all service locations and authorized workshops, and state‑of‑the‑art digital parts documentation systems, the center sets international standards in customer service. Order status can be tracked at any time by customers via the Omniplus On portal.

Genuine spare parts — now also directly from the printer

Omniplus genuine parts and accessories are precisely tailored to the technical requirements of Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses. They meet Omniplus quality standards and are designed for durability and long‑term value retention. The manufacturer’s expertise ensures safety and reliability in daily operation.

But the offering goes far beyond classic genuine spare parts. Daimler Buses is also a pioneer in industrial 3D printing across the entire automotive industry. Since 2016, the company has relied on the possibilities of digital manufacturing technologies. Today, around 40,000 Mercedes‑Benz and Setra bus parts are 3D‑printable — and the number continues to grow. The digital warehouse is continuously expanded and includes both commonly required original parts and rarely needed components for customized customer requests.

With its 3D printing license management, Omniplus goes one step further. By purchasing a license, owners of Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses can produce numerous spare parts quickly and cost‑effectively in‑house. All that is needed for this mini parts factory is a certified 3D printer, a one‑time registration, and the acquisition of a license for the required part and quantity. Operators who do not have their own 3D printer — or need a part incompatible with the equipment on hand — can simply contact their nearest Omniplus service partner. The partner will obtain the corresponding license and handle the printing.

Encrypted 3D data and the associated licenses, including build instructions, make it possible to provide genuine parts worldwide as quickly as possible — exactly where they are needed. The economic and environmental advantages are clear: faster parts availability, shorter supply chains, cost savings, and a significant reduction in CO₂ emissions.

3D‑printed components and encrypted 3D data with associated licenses therefore form an ideal enhancement to the proven portfolio of classic Omniplus genuine parts.

Omniplus Reman original parts: the ecological alternative

From a sustainability perspective, it can make sense to keep a bus in operation for a longer period of time. This often increases demand for spare parts. Omniplus offers the ideal solution: remanufacturing, or Reman for short. In this process, used genuine parts are reconditioned by the manufacturer and provided with a warranty so they can continue serving reliably as Omniplus Reman original parts. These components meet the highest quality standards and also offer a strong environmental profile. At the same time, Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses remain fully original when a Reman part is installed. Reconditioning saves raw materials and significantly reduces CO₂ emissions compared with manufacturing a new component.

Omniplus Reman original parts enable cost‑efficient, value‑appropriate, and sustainable repairs. The Reman portfolio includes engines, transmissions, and high‑wear components such as air compressors and alternators. Recently, Omniplus expanded its existing program of Reman driveshafts with additional models.

In January 2026, Daimler Buses commissioned its new Reman Core Consolidation Center (CCC). To create the facility, an existing building at the Neu‑Ulm plant was expanded by around 5,000 m². From now on, all used parts destined for remanufacturing are collected here. A Daimler Buses expert team inspects the components and forwards them to the specialized units in Daimler Truck and Daimler Buses plants in Germany — or to the appropriate suppliers — for reconditioning.

Service solutions from Omniplus for buses of every age

Whether the focus is safety, comfort, or design, Omniplus stands by bus operators throughout the entire life cycle of their vehicles with individual retrofit and accessory options. Just like Omniplus genuine parts, all retrofit and accessory products are precisely tailored to Mercedes‑Benz and Setra buses. The product portfolio includes legally required and safety‑relevant retrofits as well as solutions to enhance passenger comfort. Recently, the offering has been expanded with customized vehicle individualization options for design and interior ambience — including premium 3D‑printed seat logos that can be customized according to customer specifications.

For older buses, Omniplus offers the BestAge Repair program with value‑appropriate services. The program includes genuine parts for older model series as well as Omniplus Reman original parts as cost‑optimized alternatives. Fixed‑price packages for common wear repairs at attractive rates and reduced maintenance packages tailored to the needs of aging buses also help preserve long‑term vehicle value. If a bus needs visual refreshing, Omniplus SmallRepair services — such as interior refurbishment with new fabrics and seat cushions — offer a suitable solution.

Omniplus BusTech Challenge: Europe’s top bus mechanics compete

Every two years, Daimler Buses crowns Europe’s best bus mechanic in the BusTech Challenge. This international competition, held since 2014 under the motto “Compete with friends,” regularly attracts more than 500 mechanics and technicians from authorized Omniplus service locations throughout Europe. To achieve top rankings, participants must deliver outstanding performance in both theory and practice. The competition process is simple and transparent. Up to three digital qualifying rounds determine the national champions who advance to the final — a two‑day event traditionally held in Neu‑Ulm. Once again this autumn, Europe’s best bus mechanic will be honored.
