Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany / Vilnius, Lithuania – A new chapter in road freight transport has begun in Lithuania: Mercedes-Benz Trucks and Finėjas Group, one of the largest customers of the German manufacturer in Europe, celebrated the official handover of the first two fully electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks in the country. The delivery marks the start of the customer’s electrification journey and highlights the growing importance of battery-electric long-haul transport in Eastern Europe.

With a fleet of 1,700 Mercedes-Benz trucks and an additional 300 vehicles ordered this year – including the first two eActros 600 – Finėjas Group is strengthening its pioneering role in sustainable logistics. The handover took place at Veho Lietuva in Vilnius, the official Mercedes-Benz Trucks representative in Lithuania, together with representatives of Finėjas Group.

About the eActros 600

Mercedes-Benz Trucks celebrated the series launch of the eActros 600 at the end of November 2024 at the Mercedes-Benz plant in Wörth. Deliveries to customers began in December 2024. The electric flagship has already proven its capabilities in real-life conditions: as part of the “eActros 600 European Testing Tour 2024”, the truck covered 15,000 kilometers through 22 countries, and in the “European Testing Tour Winter 2025” around 6,500 kilometers through Northern Europe, each with a gross combination mass of 40 tons.

The eActros 600 was awarded “International Truck of the Year 2025” – the industry’s most prestigious award, presented by the International Truck of the Year (IToY) jury, consisting of 24 commercial vehicle journalists from across Europe.

With a high battery capacity of over 600 kWh and an efficient in-house developed electric drive axle, the eActros 600 can achieve a range of up to 500 kilometers^[1] without intermediate charging. With statutory driver breaks and suitable charging infrastructure, the vehicle can cover more than 1,000 kilometers per day.

The truck is equipped with three battery packs, each with 207 kWh^[2], giving a total installed capacity of 621 kWh. Based on lithium iron phosphate cell technology (LFP), the batteries are designed for durability and longevity, ensuring up to 1.2 million kilometers of operation over ten years, with more than 80% of the capacity still available after this time.
