Daimler Truck is further expanding its Integrated Product Support (IPS) portfolio through a holistic lifecycle approach for military vehicles. The range of services covers the entire operational life of the vehicle, from training and qualification programs to condition-based maintenance and advanced digital service and support solutions.
A key focus area is additive manufacturing. Through a Digital Warehouse and licensing platform, customers will in future be able to produce selected spare parts locally and on demand using 3D printing technology. This capability can significantly reduce lead times for mission-critical components and enhance fleet availability and operational readiness.
The portfolio is complemented by data-driven solutions such as the Health and Usage Monitoring System (HUMS), which utilizes Li-Fi wireless technology to transmit vehicle condition data. Looking ahead, the system can also integrate predictive maintenance applications to further optimize fleet sustainment and lifecycle management.
Digital assistance systems enable AI-supported identification of vehicle components and facilitate direct reordering when required. In addition, virtual reality headsets can provide step-by-step repair instructions and animations, enabling even less experienced personnel to carry out maintenance and repair tasks efficiently. Through a live expert support chat, users can receive direct assistance from manufacturer specialists within minutes.
Together, these capabilities form a connected ecosystem for modern fleet management, designed to enhance the long-term availability, efficiency, and resilience of military vehicle fleets. The new service solutions will be demonstrated live at Eurosatory.
