- Full-year 2026 guidance raised: adjusted return on sales (IB) now expected at 7% to 9% (previously 6% to 8%) and adjusted Group EBIT at €3.6–€4.1 billion (previously €3.2–€3.7 billion), driven by the approval of the U.S. Department of Commerce for Daimler Truck’s U.S. Content application and higher expected Trucks North America unit sales.
- On Group level, profitability in the second quarter remained impacted by tariffs. At the same time, it marked the start of a positive trajectory that will accelerate significantly in the third quarter: Industrial Business (IB) revenue increased to €11.4 billion (Q2 2025: €10.8 billion), adjusted Group EBIT amounted to €838 million (Q2 2025: €1,022 million), and adjusted return on sales (IB) was 6.8% (Q2 2025: 9.2%).
- Strong Free Cash Flow (IB) of €1.8 billion (Q2 2025: €20 million), supported by the ARCHION cash inflow and improved operational cash generation.
Leinfelden-Echterdingen – Daimler Truck Holding AG (“Daimler Truck”) reported its second-quarter 2026 results and raised its full-year guidance for the 2026 financial year, reflecting an expected acceleration of earnings in the second half of the year. This is supported by higher expected unit sales at Trucks North America and tariff-related improvements following the approval of the company’s U.S. Content application by the U.S. Department of Commerce, effective November 1, 2025.
Karin Rådström, President and CEO of Daimler Truck: “Strong results at Trucks North America and an improved outlook for the region, driven by higher unit sales and a lower tariff impact for the remainder of the year, give us the confidence to raise our full-year guidance.”
Eva Scherer, CFO of Daimler Truck: “Given our strong liquidity position, we intend to launch the second tranche of our ongoing share buyback program immediately upon completion of the first tranche, which is expected by mid-September at the latest. The second tranche is planned to run through the end of June 2027 and will have a volume of up to €1.1 billion, underscoring our continued commitment to delivering value to our shareholders.”
Outlook for 2026 raised
Daimler Truck raises its full-year guidance for 2026. Adjusted EBIT at group level is now expected between €3.6 billion and €4.1 billion (previously: €3.2–€3.7 billion; 2025: €3.5 billion). Group unit sales are projected between 340,000 and 370,000 units (previously: 330,000–360,000; 2025: 315,000). Revenue of the Industrial Business is estimated between €43 billion and €47 billion (previously: €42–€46 billion; 2025: €42.1 billion), and the adjusted return on sales of the Industrial Business is now expected between 7% and 9% (previously: 6–8%; 2025: 7.9%). The Free Cash Flow of the Industrial Business is anticipated between €3.0 billion and €3.5 billion (previously: €2.7–€3.2 billion; 2025: €1.8 billion).
At segment level, Trucks North America now expects an adjusted return on sales of 9% to 11% (previously: 6–8%) and unit sales of 160,000 to 180,000 units (previously: 150,000–170,000). Due to the ongoing weak market situation in Latin America and Mexico, Daimler Buses reduces its unit sales guidance for 2026 to 20,000–25,000 units (previously: 25,000–30,000). All other guidance items for 2026 remain unchanged.
The updated guidance is based on the assumption that the current United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) framework remains in place and does not reflect any potential changes in tariff policy, macroeconomic conditions, or geopolitical developments.
