Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Nuremberg – At GALABAU 2026 in Nuremberg (15–18 September, Hall 6, Stand 6-329), Henne Nutzfahrzeuge, together with Mercedes-Benz Special Trucks and Unimog ExpertPartners MULAG and Bucher Municipal, will present practical solutions for year-round municipal operations. The two vehicles on display highlight the versatility of the Unimog as an implement carrier and its suitability for a wide range of municipal tasks throughout the year, from green space maintenance to winter service.

Unimog U 535 with Mowing Equipment from MULAG

The Mercedes-Benz Unimog U 535, delivering 260 kW (354 hp) and featuring a 3,350 mm wheelbase, will be showcased at GALABAU. Equipped with a mowing door and the switchable hydrostatic drive system EasyDrive, the base vehicle is ideally suited for mowing applications.

MULAG provides the appropriate attachments for modern vegetation management. The vehicle is equipped with the front boom combination MKF 600 featuring an edge-strip mower and MK 1200 mowing head, as well as the new rear boom MHU 900 with AMK 1200 mowing head and integrated grass collection system.

The MKF 600 is a proven combination boom designed for efficient roadside operation. Thanks to its telescopic boom, the front attachment offers a reach of up to seven metres, making it ideal for applications such as maintaining steep embankments and clearance work.

The rear boom, with its two integrated telescopic sections, provides a reach of up to 9.5 metres. At the same time, its dual telescopic design allows it to be retracted into a very compact configuration for work close to the roadside. The integrated grass collection system uses a suction hose to transport cut material directly from the mowing head into a towed collection trailer.

Unimog U 219 with Winter Service Equipment from Bucher Municipal

For winter maintenance applications, Bucher Municipal will present a Unimog U 219. As the smallest model in the Unimog range, it offers exceptional manoeuvrability and is particularly well suited for urban operations.

Bucher Municipal has equipped the vehicle with a Unix LN30u V-plough and a Yeti W16 spreader. This combination enables efficient and versatile snow clearance as well as precise spreading operations in municipal environments.

With a plough width of 3,050 mm, the snow plough can be configured as a V-plough, scoop plough or side plough, making it especially suitable for urban applications. Its neoprene cutting edge helps protect road surfaces while operating comparatively quietly. An optional dual cutting-edge system is available, allowing a steel cutting edge to be engaged during operation for more aggressive clearing tasks.

The Yeti W16 spreader (1.6 m³ dry material capacity and 640 litres of brine) is designed for FS30 operation. Its spreading disc provides variable spreading widths ranging from two to eight metres.
