Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Ciudad Real (Spain) – The Spanish family-owned company Baltransa, a specialist in the national and international transportation of chemical products, has expanded its fleet with 25 new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1846 LS trucks featuring the ProCabin.

The new vehicles are specifically intended to improve the efficiency of the company’s fleet and underline the long-standing partnership between Baltransa and Mercedes-Benz Trucks Spain.
Delivered by sales partner Eje Occidental, the state-of-the-art tractor units are equipped with the highest possible ADR specification for the transportation of hazardous goods.

José Luis Ruiz, CEO of Baltransa, explains: “Our new ProCabin vehicles are equipped with maximum comfort and the latest safety technology, enabling our drivers to carry out their demanding work under the best possible conditions.”

The official handover took place at Baltransa’s headquarters in Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha. Guillermo Ruiz, Sales Director of Baltransa, emphasized the importance of the partnership with Mercedes-Benz Trucks for the company: “Trucks bearing the three-pointed star have been part of Baltransa since its earliest days. We have grown as a company alongside Mercedes-Benz Trucks and have continuously developed our fleet together.”

More than 70 Years of Experience in Chemical Transportation

Baltransa has more than 70 years of experience in the transportation of chemical products by tanker truck. The company operates facilities in Ciudad Real, Abrera (Barcelona), and Pinto (Madrid). Internationally, Baltransa is active in Germany, Belgium, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, and the United Kingdom, among other countries.

A Focus on Safety and Efficiency

These services support fleet management in reducing operating costs and optimizing vehicle availability.

Thanks to their optimized aerodynamics and highly efficient drivetrain technology, the vehicles achieve fuel savings of up to three percent. Standard equipment also includes the latest Mercedes-Benz Trucks safety assistance systems, including Active Brake Assist 6 Plus, Active Sideguard Assist 3, Active Drive Assist 3, Front Guard Assist, Attention Assist 2, and the predictive cruise control and transmission control system Predictive Powertrain Control (PPC).
