Leinfelden-Echterdingen, Germany/Almendralejo, Spain – Daimler Truck España, together with its dealer partner Eje Occidental, has delivered 27 new Mercedes-Benz Actros 1853 LS GigaSpace ProCabin trucks to the Spanish logistics company Transnoriega. With this investment, the company is committed to high standards of safety, comfort, and efficiency. The new vehicles are thus part of Transnoriega’s ongoing modernization strategy.

Focus on Efficiency

The front end, extended by 80 millimeters, and the largely seamless exterior structure of the Actros L ProCabin ensure particularly efficient aerodynamics, optimally directing airflow around the vehicle and enabling fuel savings of up to three percent, depending on the application. 

In addition to aerodynamic improvements, Mercedes‑Benz Trucks increases the efficiency of the new Actros L through the use of advanced, highly efficient and low‑emission diesel engines across its powertrain portfolio. These drivetrains are designed to support fuel‑efficient operation, help reduce CO₂e emissions and lower operating costs, thereby contributing to an improved total cost of ownership (TCO). At the same time, the engines maintain a balanced level of performance, driving dynamics and comfort.

Numerous assistance systems are available in the vehicle to enhance safety and driving comfort. These include Active Brake Assist 6 Plus for emergency braking, Active Sideguard Assist 2 for turning, Front Guard Assist for starting off, and Active Drive Assist 3 for automated driving. These assistants can help detect critical situations early on and support the driver. The foundation is a new electronics platform that enables a wide detection range of up to 270 degrees through the combined analysis of radar and camera data. The interior of the GigaSpace cab also offers the driver a high level of comfort.
