Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Neu-Ulm/Dormitz. Tanner KG crowns its 50th anniversary with a new S 531 DT. The Setra double-decker bus, which bears the name of the North German god Thor, makes traveling a real experience with a mirrored ceiling and a starry sky on the lower deck, a modern sound system, and disco lighting.
The Setra TopClass vehicle with a kitchen unit integrated behind the driver’s area is equipped with the TopSky panoramic roof and offers 78 passengers a seat in the Ambassador design.
The three-axle vehicle has all current driver assistance and safety systems on board, including a 360-degree camera, and is used for coach hire, for example, for company events, class trips, and club excursions throughout Europe.

Founded in 1975, the family-owned company from Dormitz in Upper Franconia, run by the second generation of Robert Tanner, has relied on individual and exclusive exterior and interior designs for its seven Setra coaches since the mid-90s. Poseidon, Scorpio, Phoenix, or even El Diabolo – the Setra vehicles in the fleet are real eye-catchers with expressively designed motifs of zodiac signs, mythical creatures, or even deities. And likewise, today, Thor evokes memories of the traveling Viking people.
