Presentation of the 100 model series and series-production introduction of independent wheel suspension with air suspension

The 200 model series with novel cross-flow ventilation system enters series production.

Setra presents the first S 228 DT (double-decker tourism) double-decker bus.

Presentation of the 300 model series with innovative integral mirror system and new exterior design

The Setra S 315 HDH is voted "Coach of the Year 1993"

1996
The Setra S 315 NF is voted "Bus of the Year 96"

2001
Setra presents the TopClass 400, whose technology, design and equipment set new benchmarks. In the same year, this new touring coach generation was voted "Coach of the Year 2002" at "Busworld Kortrijk"

2002
Sale of the 1000th TopClass 400 vehicle

2003
The S 417 for the North American market was officially presented in February at the UMA (United Motorcoach Association) show in Orlando, Florida

Sale of the 1500th TopClass 400 vehicle

2005
In March, a bus company in northern Germany received the 3000th TopClass 400 vehicle in the form of a Setra S 415 HD

In June, the 10,000th MultiClass vehicle in the form of a S 315 UL was delivered

The new autonomous intelligent cruise control (AICC) and continuous brake limiter (DBL) safety systems were presented in the TopClass 400 and ComfortClass 400 touring coaches

2006
At the beginning of February, the 1500th Setra Bus was delivered to Belgium. This anniversary bus was an S 416 HDH with glass roof

In March, the 5000th touring coach from the TopClass 400 and ComfortClass 400 model series was delivered.

2007
Setra delivered the 90,000th bus since the brand was established in 1951

At "Busworld" in Kortrijk, Belgium, the brand presented the new Setra TopClass 400 vehicles

Setra supplied the 500th S 431 DT double-decker, as well as the 500th touring coach in the form of the S 411 HD

The Setra Show 2007 took place for the first time in the newly established Setra Customer Centre in Neu-Ulm

2008
The 10,000th touring coach of the 400 model series, an S 416 GT-HD/2, was handed over to a big Turkish customer

The low-floor S 415 NF of the MultiClass 400 was voted "Bus of the Year 2009"

2009
Setra presented two US versions of the S 417 at the United Motorcoach Association (UMA) in Orlando, Florida.

2010
Setra delivered the 2500th bus of the MultiClass 400.

2011
The Ulm-based bus brand celebrated its 60-year anniversary with a range of different events. It was also the 100th anniversary of bus building in Ulm. The 100,000th bus since the brand's establishment was delivered in this year

2012
Presentation of the completely new-developed ComfortClass 500 touring coach generation and introduction of the Euro 6 "Blue Efficiency Power" engine technology

The 750th S 411 HD from the brand was delivered in Austria

2013
The new Setra TopClass 500 touring coach generation celebrated its world premiere 

An S 515 HD of the Setra ComfortClass 500 is voted "Coach of the Year 2014" in Belgium

All vehicles of the current product range are now equipped with the Euro 6 "Blue Efficiency Power" engine generation

2014
The ComfortClass 500 range was expanded by four further vehicle models. This also included the new MD medium-decker

Series start for the Setra TopClass 500 in Neu-Ulm

Awarded the coveted "Red Dot Award" for Product Design in 2014

Presentation of the new inter-city LE business of the Setra MultiClass

2015
The 2500th double-decker bus was handed over by the brand to an Italian bus company. The S 431 DT is simultaneously also the 250th vehicle of this model to be equipped with a Euro 6 engine

The exclusive Setra club buses celebrated their 60-year existence

2016
The Setra brand delivers the 2500th bus of the ComfortClass 500. Based in Vienna, Dr. Richard Firmengruppe received their first medium-decker S 515 MD

The bus brand celebrated its 65th birthday

2017
Presentation of the new S 531 DT double-decker in Stuttgart

The 15,000th Setra ComfortClass was delivered

French company "Les Cars Moreau" received an S 511 HD
– the 5000th vehicle of the Setra ComfortClass 500

The 2000th UL business bus model was handed over to a Swedish customer

2018
With the S 531 DT double-decker, Setra presented the first touring coach in the world to be equipped as standard with a fire extinguishing system in the engine compartment

2019
The Autobus Stephany s.à r.l bus company from Luxembourg received an
S 516 HDH – the 1000th vehicle of the Setra TopClass 500. 

2020
800,000 seat units of the Voyage generation have been installed in Setra TopClass and ComfortClass buses

Setra converts an S 416 LE business of the MultiClass into a mobile Covid-19 test station

2021

Bus company Heizmann-Reisen is the first bus company in Germany to have an S 418 LE business equipped with a third exit

With a new vaccination bus, Daimler Buses is making a contribution towards containing the Corona virus pandemic. The mobile vaccination station is based on an S 415 LE business and combines an intelligent interior concept with a completely digitalised vaccination procedure

Rettungsdienst Heidenheim-Ulm gGmbH forms part of the German Red Cross and will be using a Setra S 415 LE business inter-city bus converted into a high-capacity transport vehicle to help in the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic
