Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Wörth am Rhein – Mercedes‑Benz Trucks reflects on 130 years of truck history and 30 years of Actros while decisively driving the transformation of transport forward. To mark this anniversary, the manufacturer is launching the nationwide 'eActros & Friends' Roadshow 2026 - one of the largest customer events of the year. Between April 7 and May 23, Mercedes‑Benz Trucks will present numerous vehicles from its current truck portfolio at 24 partner locations across Germany, ranging from battery‑electric models to highly efficient diesel trucks.

Christian Wilz, CEO Mercedes‑Benz Trucks & FUSO Germany: “Our customers keep the economy moving, and we are here to support them. With the 'eActros & Friends' Roadshow, we are bringing our latest trucks—battery‑electric as well as conventionally powered—directly to our customers and drivers, allowing them to experience the future of transport up close. Our goal? Successful customers!”

Visitors can look forward to a diverse program including test drives, vehicle presentations, and personal discussions with experts. The goal of the roadshow is to make the transformation of freight transport tangible in real-world settings and to showcase the breadth and diversity of the Mercedes‑Benz Trucks portfolio.

Electromobility continues to gain importance in the commercial vehicle sector. With the eActros 600, already in customer use for more than a year, Mercedes-Benz Trucks has demonstrated the potential of battery‑electric trucks, particularly in long‑haul transport. The manufacturer has significantly expanded its second‑generation eActros portfolio: depending on range, payload, and application profile, around 40 variants are available, including the eActros 400 for operations with higher payload requirements. The battery‑electric eEconic rounds out the offering for the waste‑management and municipal sectors. Furthermore, Mercedes-Benz Trucks supports transportation companies with TruckCharge, its comprehensive consulting and service offering for charging infrastructure and electric truck charging solutions.

In addition to battery‑electric vehicles, the roadshow also features highly efficient conventionally powered trucks. These include the Actros L ProCabin designed for long‑haul operations, the Actros L with its proven cab in various configurations, and the Arocs Extent – a limited special edition - for demanding construction applications.

A standout highlight of the roadshow is a truck transformed into a rolling work of art: Under the motto “Art Meets Performance,” Hanover‑based artist Sven Liesy has turned an Actros L ProCabin into a vibrant, one‑of‑a‑kind piece: the “Art Truck.” “This truck is more than a commercial vehicle - it is a moving canvas filled with energy, courage, and freedom. With every brushstroke, I bring art to the streets and connect technology with emotion. Neo‑Expressionism meets 40 tons of heart,” says Sven Liesy.

Kögel Trailer GmbH is accompanying the roadshow for the market launch of the new eActros 400 with an e‑optimized Kögel Light Plus. The trailer was developed for use with battery‑electric tractor units and contributes to optimized load distribution. Markus Siegner, CEO of Kögel, emphasizes: “The e‑optimized Kögel Light Plus not only provides our customers with legal certainty by meeting axle‑load regulations but also delivers high profitability thanks to improved vehicle utilization. With this technically refined solution, we are jointly tackling the challenges of electromobility in the transport sector.”

The roadshow convoy consists of nine trucks. After kicking off at the Mercedes‑Benz plant in Wörth am Rhein, the tour continues through Karlsruhe, Freiburg, and Ulm, followed by stops in Munich, Leipzig, Berlin, and Reinfeld. It then heads to Bremen, Osnabrück, Haan, and Trier before concluding back at the Wörth plant.
