Leinfelden-Echterdingen – The Daimler Truck Group (“Daimler Truck”) has successfully completed the previously announced secondary offering of shares of ARCHION. Following settlement of the transaction, Daimler Truck's equity stake in ARCHION has been reduced to 25% as planned, in line with the ownership structure in ARCHION foreseen as part of the business integration of Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (“Mitsubishi Fuso”) and Hino Motors, Ltd. (“Hino”). As part of the secondary offering, Daimler Truck generated cash proceeds of approximately €600 million.

Eva Scherer, CFO of Daimler Truck: “By reducing our shareholding in ARCHION to 25%, we have reached an important strategic milestone for Daimler Truck. The secondary offering generated cash proceeds of approximately €600 million, increased ARCHION’s free float and completed its successful transition to an independently listed company. We remain a committed shareholder and continue to support ARCHION going forward.”

Major strategic milestone

For Daimler Truck, the business integration of Mitsubishi Fuso and Hino marked an important step to capitalize on its strategic pillar to unlock full potential. Daimler Truck is determined to increase long-term efficiency while strengthening the focus on heavy-duty commercial vehicles and realizing scale, where it creates value.
