Leinfelden-Echterdingen  ̶  Daimler Truck has appointed Dr. Tobias Brandis as new Chief Legal and Compliance Officer effective October 1, 2026. In this role, he will assume responsibility for Legal, Compliance and Corporate Audit and will also take the position of Human Rights Officer at Daimler Truck. Tobias Brandis succeeds Dr. Florian Hofer, who left the company to pursue new professional opportunities.

Dr. Tobias Brandis (55) studied law in Germany (Heidelberg, Tübingen) and Switzerland (Geneva) before earning his doctorate at Ludwig-Maximilians-University of Munich. He started his professional career as an attorney at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in Düsseldorf in 2000 before joining Wacker Chemie AG in 2007. Following leadership positions in Legal and Corporate Development, he became Chief Financial Officer of Wacker Chemical Corporation in Adrian, Michigan, USA, in 2014. Since January 2017, he has served as President of Wacker Chemie AG’s global Polysilicon business unit, leading the worldwide business and driving strategic and operational transformation initiatives.
