Leinfelden-Echterdingen / Höchstadt a.d. Aisch. The city bus company Werner Vogel is expanding its modern bus fleet with 26 new, environmentally-friendly Mercedes-Benz city buses. These Citaro hybrid vehicles will be operated on behalf of Erlanger Stadtwerke AG (ESTW) on a number of lines in Höchstadt, located in Germany's Middle Franconia region.

Equipped with 35 seats and room for 74 standing passengers, these two-axle vehicles also feature the latest safety systems. This also includes Sideguard Assist with pedestrian detection, which is a useful assistance system for drivers, especially in city centers as well as smaller towns.

Founded in 1959, this bus company is one of the largest privately-owned bus companies in northern Bavaria, with over 100 vehicles and 130 employees, and provides regular bus service as well as charter buses.
