Leinfelden-Echterdingen – In 1896, Gottlieb Daimler invented the truck, paving the way for the development of road freight transport. 130 years later, Mercedes-Benz Trucks is marking this anniversary with a special edition: the company will present the “130 Years Trucks Edition” at IAA Transportation.

Under the guiding principle “Legacy meets Passion,” the special model combines the history of Mercedes-Benz Trucks with current vehicle technologies. The edition is aimed at customers and drivers who have a close connection to the brand and their truck.

Even before its premiere, one thing is certain: the “130 Years Trucks Edition,” limited to 400 vehicles, is based on the Mercedes-Benz Actros with the ProCabin and will be available with both a diesel powertrain and as a battery-electric truck. Around 30 special equipment features incorporate historic colors, materials and design elements and transfer them into a contemporary vehicle concept.
