The Leadership Talent Track offers you the opportunity to develop your leadership potential with the goal of developing into a leadership role at Daimler Truck.

You want to take on real responsibility and lead the way in the transformation? You want to contribute your visionary ideas and thus set the course for the future of sustainable transportation? 

As part of the Leadership Talent Track, you will get to know our organization, work intensively on projects (local and abroad), and expand your global network - all with the support of mentors from the top management levels. In total, the program consists of three phases: 

The onboarding phase (6 months)

  • Initially, you will work in your home area at Daimler Truck
  • You get to know your mentor and discuss your further career path
  • You define your future project tasks
  • You take advantage of the training opportunities, e.g. our leadership culture

The program phase (12 months)

In the program phase, you will develop your leadership skills through...
 

  • ...a first project in your home area
  • ...participation in innovative projects (local and abroad)
  • ...insights into everyday work in our production facilities
  • ...participation in global networking and leadership events
  • ...dealing with the focus topics of customer centricity and impact culture

The Alumni phase

After you have successfully completed the program...
 

  • ...together with your manager, you define your personal development perspective in the direction of taking on a management role
  • ...you will be part of our constantly growing international alumni community
  • ...you learn from other alumni and benefit from your global network
  • ...you can apply what you have learned directly in your home area
  • ...your mentor will support you in your next steps

  • Who are we looking for?

    Daimler Trucks & Buses offers jobs in every imaginable field of automotive economy, such as Production, Procurement, HR, IT, Finance as well as Research & Development. That’s why we are always looking for the next generation of inspiring leaders to tackle future challenges on a global scale.

    In that regard, there are some characteristics that we would like to see in you:

    • To you, leadership isn't only about top-down or bottom-up?

    Of course there are some mandatory and nice to have aspects too:

    Mandatory:

    • Bachelor’s degree or higher
    • Fluent in written & spoken English
    • Willingness to travel abroad

    Nice to have:

    • Some first leadership experience (e.g. in university context)
    • Some experience in a start-up environment

    There are your steps to the application process:

    Step 1:
    The online application

    Step 2:
    The online assessment - you will receive an invitation to the online assessment a few days after your online application is received

    Step 3:
    The telephone interview - after successfully completing the online assessment, we will invite you to a telephone interview with the Hiring Manager

    Step 4:
    The final step - the recruiting days on December 1st. and 2nd., 2023 at the Daimler Truck Campus in Leinfelden-Echterdingen
