At FIAA 2026, Daimler Buses is presenting a portfolio designed to provide practical answers to the key challenges facing passenger transport: supporting the transition to more efficient mobility, enhancing safety, increasing fleet availability and providing operators with viable solutions for different operating scenarios.

With its Mercedes-Benz and Setra brands, Daimler Buses is highlighting the breadth of its portfolio for urban, interurban and long-distance passenger transport. The company’s presence at FIAA brings together electric vehicles, hybrid solutions, state-of-the-art safety and driver assistance systems, and a comprehensive range of aftersales, digital and e-mobility infrastructure services.

Among the key highlights is the Mercedes-Benz eIntouro, Daimler Buses’ first battery-electric interurban bus, designed to open up new possibilities for electrifying interurban routes, school transport, shuttle services and excursions. This is complemented by the new generation of NMC4 batteries for the Mercedes-Benz eCitaro, developed to provide higher energy capacity, longer range and an extended service life.

Alongside electrification, Daimler Buses is also strengthening its portfolio with pragmatic solutions aimed at improving operational efficiency. One such solution is the new Mercedes-Benz OC 500 hybrid chassis, featuring a 48-volt mild-hybrid system designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions without requiring operators to change their everyday operations. The OC 500 range is manufactured in Sámano, Cantabria, where Daimler Buses operates a specialised plant recognised as its European centre of competence for chassis production.

Setra completes this comprehensive approach with its current model range, from the MultiClass low-entry interurban bus to premium ComfortClass and TopClass coaches. At FIAA 2026, the brand will also take centre stage as it celebrates its 75th anniversary. Its history began in 1951 with the S 8 and has been marked by continuous progress in comfort, safety, quality, design and efficiency.

The portfolio is complemented by OMNIplus, the Daimler Buses service brand, which is celebrating its 30th anniversary. OMNIplus brings together traditional aftersales services, OMNIplus ON digital solutions and OMNIplus Charge, the brand under which Daimler Buses bundles its e-mobility infrastructure services.
