Leinfelden-Echterdingen/Mill (Netherlands) – The dutch company Egala has taken over 175 vehicles from Mercedes-Benz Trucks. The major order comprises 155 Mercedes-Benz Actros 1845 LS semitrailer tractors and 20 battery-electric Mercedes-Benz eActros 600 trucks. With this investment, the outsourcing partner for transportation and logistics companies is further expanding its European fleet while also investing in CO₂e-free transportation.

Partnership for fleet operations across Europe

Egala provides its customers with vehicles and drivers and supports them with additional operational services. A reliable and efficiently deployable fleet is therefore a key foundation of its business model.

High comfort and modern driver assistance systems⁽¹⁾

All 175 trucks are equipped with the aerodynamically designed ProCabin in the spacious GigaSpace and StreamSpace version. Equipment includes Multimedia Cockpit Interactive 2 as well as an extensive range of assistance systems, such as Active Brake Assist 6 Plus and Sideguard Assist 2 for greater safety when turning. The Mercedes-Benz trucks also meet the requirements of VECTO Class 3.

Service contracts and digital services for high availability

Egala has concluded an international repair and maintenance contract for its new Mercedes-Benz trucks. Mercedes-Benz Uptime continuously monitors the technical condition of the vehicles. This makes it possible to plan maintenance work and potential repairs as proactively as possible and reduce unplanned downtime.

Fleetboard supports Egala in its day-to-day fleet management. Vehicle data and analyses, including information on driving behavior and vehicle use, provide insights that can help reduce fuel consumption and increase operational efficiency.
