INspire – The Leadership Talent Track Retail

Within about three years, you will be prepared for your subsequent management role with INspire – The Leadership Talent Track Retail.

The program is divided into two phases: the trainee phase and the assistant phase.

During the program, you will pass through several stations at various national commercial vehicle centres as well as the distribution centre in Berlin. In addition to day-to-day business, you can expect an individual deployment plan with exciting projects and challenges. In addition to practical experience, tailor-made training and networking modules support your individual development.

The trainee phase (12–18 months)

They have two to three project tasks in various commercial vehicle centres in Germany and one project assignment at the sales centre in Berlin.

  • You will receive regular feedback and development talks.
  • You will complete a production deployment at a German Mercedes-Benz plant.

Assistance phase (18–24 months)

During the program phase, you will deepen your leadership skills.

As an assistant to a divisional manager (e.g. sales/service manager) in one of our five sales regions, you will already assume initial management responsibility in representative functions.

  • You will receive regular feedback and development talks.
  • You participate in management seminars.
  • You will take part in networking events with other trainees from Daimler Truck AG.
  • Preparation for internal potential validation.

The target role

Once you have successfully completed the programme, you will be assigned to your target role as Team Leader Sales or Head of Customer Service in one of our commercial vehicle centres.

Of course, there are also mandatory requirements and some desirable aspects:


  • Academic degree or completed training with relevant professional experience
  • Nationwide mobility


  • first professional experience in a car dealership or commercial vehicle centre (e.g. internships or similar)
  • Fluent in spoken and written English

The application process consists of four steps:

  • Step 1: Apply online
  • Step 2: The online assessment – you will receive an invitation to the online assessment after receipt of the application.
  • Step 3: The telephone interview – After successfully completing the online assessment, we invite you to the telephone interview.
  • Step 4: The Selection Day – The final step is a personal selection day where we get to know each other. If it suits both sides, we will look for the best home area for you and arrange an individual start date.
